soupesoup...

Soupesoup are little cafés that specialize in... soup of course, but also in fabulous desserts. One of then is situated on this street which is not always on my food path. But now, they open a new place on my street! Just a few blocks from my place! Yay! I had a carrots and ginger cold soup the other day. Miam!

rust...

It rained so much lately that everything turned into rust. But since yesterday, wind replaced rain. Now, eveything is flying away!

Gorgeous graphic desing and illustrations at Bison - via the Lumper.

Wishing you a great week!

silence...

The week work was silence. What's more silent than an empty sport court compared to when it's filled with raving fans.

Jenna came up with the word silence. Some how I wasn't very surprised. I think she has a beautiful silent style.
You can find more week words here : anairam, alexandra, fruenswerk, aris, aimee, Sandra, trinsch, Julia, Esti and kristi.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

bath...

Coming back from the library, I saw these little sparrows taking a bath in the sun. I sat on a rock and fired away (my camera I mean.) They seemed to have so much fun! After they were finished, they disappeared behind this tall grass.

Another cute sparrow (I don't know who's the cutest, the sparrow or the man.)

Mattias drawings are also very cute... and intricate and witty and wonderful! He made a virtual book of some of his drawings. Be sure you look at it full screen.

Maybe the title of this post should have been "cute"...

garage sale...

I love garage sales! Unfortunately, the last ones I visited only sold ugly, useless things. Until I found this one! Two ladies on my street made a huge clean up of their house and had so many nice things of such low cost! I was looking for a folding sewing basket (not sure how you really call this thing) for a long time.

Now if only I could be lucky enough to find something like that!

Which art student were you?

details...

Last Friday and Saturday I worked very hard, til late at night, on a pitch for another museum project. Fingers and toes crossed so we get it. So yesterday was a do-noting-but-read-on-the balcony day. It seems it's been such a long time since I did something like that!

I took these photos last week from around my neighborhood and my place.

Anna Laitinen does such beautiful, detailed paintings.

weekword family...

Family as in taxonomy: phylum > class > order > FAMILY > genus > species. This family of baby ducks belongs to the mallard duck specie.

Esti choose the weekword. Othe participants are cecilia, anairam, fruenswerk, aris, aimee, jenna, trinsch, alexandra, and kristi.

Another kind of family can be found on the Milk Toof blog - via My funny Eye.

I'd like to say hi to all the new visitors of this blog. I hope you enjoy your visits. I wish you all a happy weekend!

lemonade stand...

epe gave me the Lemonade Stand Award. Yay! I never win anything. Thank you epe! Now I have to give it to bloggers that inspire me. I would give it to so many people, but my choice goes to Kerry, Alexandra and Gracia.

corner view: backdoor...

So this is what I see from my back balcony. On, down, right, left and zoomed to the max.

You can see more corner views on Jane's blog.

Erik Otto's book seems really nice. Found through Pikaland.

marché...

A little walk to the marché. On my way I met this cute cat with a pink nose. Don't worry, his eye is ok, it's just dark. Then made a stop at this wonderful flower stand. Then had some crispy bhajis with tamarind sauce. Mmmm! I think I forgot to get some bread.

Very powerful ad seen on Wooster Collective.
