snow...

Look what I woke up too this morning! It's all melted now though.

I worked all weekend so I decided to take the day off. It's a good thing cause I discovered that my wool scarves had been infested by wool moths. Tons of them. I spare you the details, it was disgusting. I had to wash everything but was happy to have lost only scarves that I didn't care much about. The moths were kind enough not to touch my mother's vintage shawls... How did they know?

What can I say, I just love a good technique, especially when applied with a meaning. The paintings of Gottfried Helnwand are just that - via Accidental Mysteries.

holga...

I had this holga film in my handbag for quite a time and finally got to have it developed. These are almost 2 months old photos.

After a long day of work, I like browsing this site, it makes my pressure go down. I'll probably look at it tonight too.

Wishing you a fun weekend, I should be back soon.

Wishing you a happy week!

hydrangea...

I love the fall colors of hydrangea.

I thought I would have had time to do stuff for myself for the last days but off course, there were some life anddeath clients urgency that couldn't wait. (sigh....) So I'm off for a couple of hours of work on this grey Sunday morning. Fortunately, I'm going on a shopping trip with my niece this afternoon. We have a lot of catching up to do. It should be fun. Have a good one!

beige...

I heard recently that the shooting of the never released Henri-Georges Clouzot movie L'enfer (Hell) was... a real hell. Only a few shots of this movie remain. Serge Bromberg made a documentary about the whole nightmare. He says that Clouzot was obnubilated by the beauty of Romy Shneider and could not think straight. You can see why here. Haunting music, unusual use of a slinky.

cooper hawk...

My boyfriend has an amazing eye to find wild animals. He saw that Cooper hawk this morning when he went out on the front balcony. I jumped into my pants and coat and went down on the street to see it up close. He was snacking on a seagull. Isn't it great to see such beautiful animals right in the heart of the city.

The Jealous Curator also has an amazing eye. To find superb art. I really like these colorful farm paintings by Emmet Kerrigan. She's also jealous of Aris!

nature...

I've been taking a lot of nature photos lately. I guess I'm hanging to what ever is left of it before everything gets covered in snow.

I love time lapse videos where you see someone draw or paint. Sketch Theatre is dedicated to these type of video. I especially like this one.

home...

I'm so happy today! It's the first day in ages that I find time to do things for myself. I still have to work a little but not in the frenzy state I was the last weeks. And it will be this way for a few days. If everything goes according to my plans of course for a client's urgency can happen at any time. Then it can become a matter of life and death you know... Okay, I should not spoil my fun. Just enjoy my time off. In fact I think I will even have time to work on a project my boyfriend and I have. I'll keep you posted about this one.

julep...

Orange Julep is a Montreal landmark. They've been making a special creamy, foamy sweet orange juice since 1920. There used to be two huge oranges like that but only this one remains.

Superb work by Acorn - via My love for you is a stampeed of horses

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

time...

Hello! How time flies! I don't have much time to blog and I miss it a lot. I hope you are all doing well and that you enjoy the fall colors if you are on this side of the planet or the spring colors if you are on the other side. I'll visit very soon!

fishing and beaching...

I have a lot of work these days and I'm having a real hard time to convince myself to do it. I wish I could go to the beach instead...

I love dirty charcoal drawings and I really like how mia in the sky does it.

I always wanted to do something with insects. Magnus Muhr did and I find it very funny! Found via share some candy.

Another week is starting. Wishing you a very good one.
