Seen in the Old Port of Montreal. It seems many artisits are dyinbg lately. Eric Rohmer died yesterday at the age of 89. He leaves us with so many extraordinary movies! The first one I saw was force fed to me by my room mate. I will never thank her enough for making me change my mind about Rohmer and his fantastic Pauline à la plage. Merci Sabine !

Yes, the last few months have been particularly hard, haven't they?
I'm ashamed to say I'm completely unfamiliar with Rohmer's work...
the pictures seem to speak of loneliness...
great pictures!
love this photos. they are so grand.
beautiful and I agree with Esti a bit lonely, but then that's winter isn't it? I love the color that happens when something is used a lot and is allowed to show its wear.
et bien drôle d'idée, en effet lors de mon séjour à Montréal pour la nouvelle année, j'étais dans le vieux port et je regardais le quai, les bateaux et me disait, ce serait sympatique de revenir y faire des photos!!!!!!!
This is a great set of photos. Ports and ships give at times an uncomfortable feeling. I especially like the first and last photos for the colours and rust.
beautiful reds, combined with the snow and rust... ahhhhhhhh so lovely altogether!
Brilliant images nathalie!
I aggree with PK who suggests that ships and ports give an uncomfortable feeling at times,
They have such melancholy and associations with tragedy somehow through history and these images too have a somewhat eerie quality! Eerie but beautiful and poetic in a strangely moving way!
