Last Sunday I took a long photo walk in my neighborhood. A lot more to come. Some of you asked me a couple of questions. You wondered what was the thing on the third photo of my last post. Well you can see it better here on Delian's blog.
And some of you asked about the gigs I'm working on. Well one of my client got a contract to produce a multimedia award show. This is very exciting because the awards are for people from our field of work, our peers. Exciting and a bit stressful. We have to show our best work there. I will be the production manager and help with the graphic design. Oh and we submitted two museum productions we did last year for the awards. Gig 1.
In another life, I did some research for scientific TV programs and for children encyclopedias - I have a degree in biology. Well for the last two summers, I went back to this type of work and did some research for a kids TV show about animals living in the city. Recently, they asked me to write shorts texts for the show's website. I really enjoy this. Gig 2.
I will also soon start to work for a women association on a series of research reports about feminism and religion. I will do the graphic layouts for those. Waiting for the first texts to come in. Gig 3.
I did a very simple photo animation for a pharmaceutical company. I'm on stand by for the client's approval in order to finish it. Gig 4.
And when it rains, it pours: yesterday, another client asked me to do the cover for a book he's publishing with the possibility of a second cover if he gets the grant to print it. Gig 5.
All that said, I find myself procrastinating big time today. I should get on with it as Thereza would say.
So cute - the smallest garage in the world!

Wow, so many interesting and varied projects! It must be very stimulating!
I hope you get better very soon. Being sick now that the weather is warming up seems even worse somehow.
(Weird photo coincidence, huh?)
Love hearing about all your recent gigs... number 2 especially. Looking froward to gleaning more in the details you share and to seeing your walk photos too.
All your gigs sound fantastically interesting. I especially like the sounds of researching animals living in the city. I think if I didn't paint/draw I'd be a scientist of some description. Best of luck "getting on with it" all. xo lj
