I won again! I thought I had no luck but I won another giveaway held on Elisabeth's blog. There were so many entries, I was sure I hade no chance at all. Well I was wrong. How was your weekend? I've been working and planning my summer work. I finished a couple of gigs last week but will be full time on another one for the next two weeks. I won't be here much. But I wish you a great week! See you soon!

Sometimes, when in Montreal, you take a turn and end up in New York. The old New York, the one that was dirty and beaten. But when you look closer, you see it's written in French.

Finally! It's here! I took those yesterday on my way to a meeting. I was so happy to see some colors. We still have a long way to go but at least it's here.

Well okay, that was yesterday. Today, the sky is really dark, it's cold and it rains...

But it's the weekend and that's what really counts to me right now. I wish you a fun one!

farm...

Last week we went to the farm. It is right on the river shore. It was a warm but overcast day. Everything was grey. I am so looking forward to some real green!

The other day I went to the park. There were so many seagulls. I started to shoot and ended up with tons of photos. I think I went a bit overboard but I couldn't resist their beauty. We see these birds everyday but don't really notice them. I love the white, grey and black of their feathers against the mustard yellow of their beak and legs and the red of their lips. I guess it was mating time cause they were pretty aggressive and very loud. I live two blocks away from the park and I can hear them when they get agitated.

I can't believe it's the end of the weekend already. The week went by so fast! All my gigs are going very well. I sent two sketches for the book cover and the publisher was very happy. Phew! I had carte blanche, no indication at all. It's always tricky when someone says propose something, we'll work from that. It can turn out to be a very long process. Had an offer to do an illustration. Will know this week if I get that gig. Fingers crossed!

So how was your week and weekend? Is it spring yet where you are? After a summery weekend last week, I went back to wear my winter jacket!

I had a very restful weekend. We had such a beautiful weather. All of the sudden, it was summer. No socks in shoes, reading outside, hanging laundry outside... can't ask for more. How was your weekend? Did you eat a lot of chocolate?

This small snack bar was in my neighborhood for almost 40 years. It recently closed its door. So did the next door store. I heard there will be a bigger restaurant in their place. I never been to Di Lalla. I must say, it wasn't very inviting. But it was there and now it's not. I wish Georgette and Gilles to have a very happy retirement. On their last message, written on a paper place mat, they said : Thank you! To all our customers and friends for those beautiful 39 years. For some reason, I find this very moving. Here is a photo when it was still open.

I'm so happy it's the weekend. All week I was dragging a cold and it was very hard to work. I decided to take four days off and enjoy the upcoming spring. Superb day alreay with a magnificent blue sky! Wishing you a great weekend. I hope get some time off too!
