lace...

Another week went by! I didn't see it. So glad it's the weekend! I have tons of photos to sort out. Some of them should be used for Line's project Silence on tourne. And I'm looking forward for a short trip up north to see a ceramic fair. What are your weekend projects?

jam...

I'm so happy! I thought I would not have strawberry jam this winter because I was in Virginia when thy were in full bloom here. After that, they were too expensive to make jam. But this weekend, I found some at a reasonable price. Yay! To me, a summer without making jam is not a complete summer.

My jam was pretty good on pancakes but I must say that the blueberry pancakes with maple syrup were to die for. After brunch, we went for a very long and needed walk. More about that later...

How was your weekend?

p.s. the first two photos are by T.
p.p.s. so were the pancakes!

time...

(sigh) Since I took this photo, the shoots got big and my cat ate them. A new pot is growing for him...

Yep! Since I started working full time, I got so busy! Two weekends ago, I worked Saturday AND Sunday. And last weekend, we had some family duties and friends for dinner, plus the usual things you have to do during the weekends when you're working full time during the week. Which is the reason I don't have time for photos or blogging. I'm a bit frustrated about that. I'm already looking forward for the next weekend to do nothing. I guess I'll get use to this new schedule eventually...

I was very sorry to find out that Birdie from Dear Ada decided to put an end to her wonderful blog. I will miss her unique finds. I wish her all my best with her new projects.

Got to run! Wishing you a great weekend!

real rain...

It's been so hot lately, I think my geranium fried red. Fortunately, there was a couple of big storms that finally washed away that bad heat and brought back normal weather. We can sleep and my cat is back on my lap as I write.

T went shopping for an AC unit but there was none left in store. I guess we have to cross our fingers so it doesn't get too warm again. What do you do to fight the heat and humidity?

flavor...

Flavors of summer. We had a 5 days heatwave I and wasn't able to do much, thus my lateness for the week word. Didn't had the courage to try a little abstract interpretation either.

Fortunately, we had gorgeous and very abundant rain yesterday, which flooded the office. Earlier during lunch, someone burned his toast, which triggered the alarm, which grant us the visit of firemen. Very busy at the office yesterday! :)

I must say, I'm pretty happy with my new job. The projects are so interesting and the coworkers are very nice, I even found out that I met one of them at a party some years ago. It's a good thing because I think I will have to work a lot. I even have to go there this morning. So off I go!

Please visit lovely Aimee for more week words.

jam...

Yesterday I went to the market and was overwhelmed by the variety of fruits and veggies available. Everything is coming out so early this year. So much so that I missed the strawberries while I was in Virginia. Will have to wait for the ones that grow more northern of here to make jam. And the raspberries ususaly come out at the end of July but yesterday, they were all over the market. I could not resist and bought some to make jam. A lot of jam! I think I did something wrong because they are very liquid, but still very good.

How is your weekend?

The big cup with the coffee beans was made by Martine Buczkowski many years ago. I always drink my coffee in that cup.

Another clever design for your electronics.

And happy Fourth of July to my American friends and to you T & M. Lots of fireworks I hope! xxx
