bananas...
This cookbook belonged to my mother (love the illustration) and you can see by its beaten look that this recipe has been made a lot of times. Actually, it's probably the first cake I ever made from scratch. Okay, it's in French, but I'm sure Google translate will help you :) Forget the gum drops, I never used them. I don't always put orange zest either. Bon appétit!
Single Fare, such a cool project!

un classique!!
Looks so good. It is nice to use something of your Mom's like a cookbook
"soda à pâte"... Heu! ça je ne sais pas ce que c'est... Poudre à pâte, c'est de la levure hein?
& "boules de gomme" ben ça alors! Qu'est-ce que c'est même si ce n'est pas nécessaire?
Oh, yummy! Love the old cookbook as well, I wish I had time to bake more! Maybe this weekend? Bonne journée à toi (sorry for possible grammar mistakes!)!
my oldest cookbook is from my grandmother- and the only recipe i use from it is for banana bread. :)

I love banana cake, but never would have thought to add gum drops.
