My friend J went to Paris a couple of weeks ago. She brought me back these goodies. How I wish I could go to!

She also sent me this link about abandoned buildings in Detroit. Crushing..

I can't believe how many roots my orchid has.

I had a delightful dinner with a friend last night but I'm a bit hung over this morning. So I'm going to end this post right away by wishing you a perfect weekend!

p.s. there has been a lot of paper cutting going around in recent years, but some of these are exceptional.

bag

This is what I've been up to lately. I made the pattern for the bag. I'm pretty happy with the results.

Aris (who has been showing such great work recently) asked if I did the sculptures on this post. Well yes I did. You can see more here. Each head is about 5 inches tall or less.

End of self promotion now. Wishing you a great week!

Another remaining photo from last fall. We had warmer weather this week. The temperature raised over zero degree. But this morning, it's back to winter weather. Fortunately, the sun is out!

I don't know yet what to do this weekend. I would like to go to the yarn shop. I started a blanket that will probably be finished for next winter.

Very intriguing Diatomea project on Behance.

I have a Chinese colleague who brought these beautiful pastries last week to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Mmm! Such different tastes from the sweets we know here.

I have a day off today. I'm ecstatic!

It was a weekend of cooking. On the menu was an Indian meal with a meat curry, a cauliflower and potato curry, a dahl and a mint and date raita. I also made a delicious thai soup and a fried rice. And T made the perfect pizza. We have great leftovers for a few days to come!

These are my last photos of our little fishing trip. I hope I won't wait 10 year to go back!

This was our very own little cabin. Nothing fancy as you can see. Very well aired, basic coat hanger (a nail) and a beaten wood stove but enough wood to keep us warm. And a tiny table just big enough to put our fabulous lunch. That's all we really needed actually.

Last Sunday, I went ice fishing with T, my brother in law and his friend M. Last time I went was abut 10 years ago. I didn't remember how fun it was. Even if we didn't catch one single fish. This place is about 30 minutes away from my home but I felt like I was in another world. We really had a great time. And I have more photos to show you.

This weekend won't be as exotic. Well maybe it will. I'm planning a huge Indian meal for tonight!
