magnolia and some sun...
A couple of weeks ago, on a rare sunny morning, I got up early and went to visit one of my favorite neighbor. He getting more and more beautiful each year. Up here, magnolias don't grow very well because of the cold weather, but I think this one found a great home to grow.
On another note, a friend of mine sent me this fantastic link. Coucou Monique !

we have one chance on earth...
These are my last B&W photos. This blog resume to its usual state by tomorrow.
Speaiking of blogs, there are of course many popular photo blogs on the web. But lately, I particularly enjoy Sarapirat's blog. I really like how she presents her photos. She doesn't always have a theme, but her photos always relate to each other in a very simple way.

refreshing...
Taken last winter.
And today is Friday!!! Yay! We had a 4 days week but I've worked my 5 days anyway. Can't wait for a nice weekend. Will plant herbs and flowers on the balcony and make it a bit more cozy.
What are your plans for this weekend?

black & white...
Spring is finally here for real! The sky is still gray, but at least the temperature is higher. And all this rain made everything bloom really fast and everything is green now. And what do I come up with? Black & white photos! Some of the photos were even taken during winter! In French we say "avoir l'esprit de contradiction", meaning something like "liking to contradict". Yep! that's me!
I find taking B&W photos to be difficult, having to concentrate on the contrasts instead of on the colors. But I found this very old film in T photo bag and wanted to use it anyway. I'm kinda happy with the results, I thought they would be a lot worst than what came out. I'll show you more in the days to come.
Today is a holiday so I will enjoy my day: repotting house plants, reading, relaxing and have a coffee with Line later this afternoon.
Wishing you a great week!

recipe...
Oh what a week! So much to do at work! Plus, the kitchen water has been cut off since Friday of last week. Very very annoying, especially in the morning when I have to run from the kitchen to the bath room about 50 times, doubling my morning routine time. It's hard not to be late. Fortunately, we have a 3 days weekend which is vey welcome.
At work, I developed a Photoshop recipe to treat old black and white building photos in order to print them in a very large scale. These buildings will be use to do a muck up 2D street. I think it's going to look pretty cool. We've printed a part of one of those buildings and the result is pretty cool. From afar, it looks like a real building, and up close, it looks more graphic.
Anyway, I wanted to try this recipe on one of my photos with a little extra twist.
Speaking of recipe, I find this one hilarious!
Update: I just saw this image on a pc. it looks like crap!

silos again...
What can I say, there are so many in Montreal.
Later: woops! I think there was a glitch. :)

where is the sun...
It's been raining all weekend and it is still raining. It's cold and wet and windy. A day to stay in bed.
Wishing you a good one with lots of sun. If you can spare some, sand it this way!

desktop of the month...
I completely forgot about the desktop of the month! Well the participation wasn't very high so I guess I didn't feel much pressure. But Sarapirat didn't forget and posted one. So I decided to accompany her. It's not too late to participate if you're interested. Here is how. If there is no increase in the participation to this project, this will be the last desktop of the month. It will have lasted 3 big months. :)

new week...
I got up at 6 this morning thinking it was 7. I feel I didn't get enough sleep... But, the sun is shining (that's what fooled me, and the fact that I added an hour to the alarm clock by Mistake) and it should shine for the next days. Yay!
I hope you have a great week!

market...

So we had 6 days of rain and gray sky in a row. The sun is finally out today and the market is now starting to fill with gardeners. I will still wait a couple of weeks before planting anything on the balcony. You never know with the weather here...
I want to wish happy mother's day to all of you who have the pleasure to be one.
I once linked to one of Colossal posts. Here is another great one. Actually, it's a great blog all around!

About Etsy...
As I told you before, we reopened our Etsy shop last week. It makes me rediscover this place. And we listed these polaroids this morning.
I love our they improved the whole experience. And I've became addicted to treasury making. A good activity for raining days.
And did we have rainy days in the last month!!! I have a huge craving for sunshine! It came out yesterday, but by the time I finished working, it started to rain again. Oh, I see some blue in the sky as I write this. I should go get prepared to go out.
What are your plans for the weekend? I hope you have a great one and that the sun shines for you!

mural...
I haven't been to the library in a while. Thus it was the first time I notice this fantastic mural. Right in one of the poorest neighborhood of Montreal. I find it very soothing, to the eye and to the soul.

changes...

From a royal wedding to a big coup, this weekend was filled with historic news. Lets hope that today's elections will follow the path of changes...
Have a great week.
I love Sophie's tumblr.

chinatown...

I love walking in Chinatown even if it's pretty small here in Montreal, it's also quite genuine I think.
We're having the perfect weather this weekend. Sun and warmth. Will probably spend some time reading outside and go for a little walk. How is/was your weekend?
