eat...
... in New York. My niece will be 18 on December first and we decided to go celebrate this milestone in New York City next January. I've decided to create a little NYC guide from my favorite addresses and from this great post, thanks to Victoria's readers. Now do you have favorites in NYC that I can add to my guide?

little shop update...
We have updated our little shop. You can get to the listing of each item by clicking on it.
I hope you are having a good weekend. Here the weather has been so gray and on the cool side that it calls for absolute cocooning. Which is fine with me!

daisies...
One cannot say that my downstairs neighbor has a very green thumb (sorry J), but she planted these daisies last year and despite a very busy backyard with kids and cats running around, the daisies made it through this year, even stronger than last year!

sunrise...
From my back balcony I see the sun rising behind a church and setting behind another church.
Cute Ikea parody.

short trip...
Leaving soon for a short trip to Ottawa to visit my uncle and aunt. We will have a Thanksgiving dinner there tonight. So happy Thanksgiving to all of you who are celebrating in Canada!
p.s. it is not Ottawa up there, it's Old Montreal.
Beautiful sculptures/paintings by Brian Dickerson.

Doing some research for a project, a colleague of mine stumbled upon this Flicker set. Wow!

sunset...
It always feels good to find peace and quite after a big storm. It's been pretty crazy here lately. But right now, it seems to have all settled down. Hopefully it will stay that way for a while...
Fantastic sketchbook directly from London.

vanishing point...
I'm fascinated by vanishing points. It's a basic optical phenomenon, yet I find it very intriguing. Maybe because it is so organized while life is usually so chaotic.
Fall is definitively here this morning with gray sky, blowing wind, leaves flying around and crude rain. Pretty chaotic in itself. Feels like staying home under the blankets with some cooking between naps... and browsing through whole larder love.
