whoops...

candian national église

These are the last photos I have in stock. I need to work on more! I haven't done it lately because I've been busy elsewhere. See, two weeks ago I started a kind of workshop with a three of women neighbors. Each week we meet and work on a sketchbook. We choose a subject and draw, cut and paste, paint around that subject.

I got pretty excited about this process but the first week I had to leave early for a job interview (that I didn't get) and last week I had to go to work at my former job because they were in a jam. Therefore I missed the workshop. So in order to be up to date, I decided to work on my own.

Tuesday the power was out for electrical maintenance on the street. I decided to go to the park and I spent three hours drawing. I haven't done that in ages! I was so into it that since then, I have been filling my notebook with collages and drawings and paintings. I can't tell you how happy this makes me! This is why I am kinda out of photos to post. I will be posting some pages of my notebook soon though.

Oh and I have to tell you this little story. A few weeks ago, T showed a blog he read about in The Gazette.  Since then, I have been visiting it daily. Well Saturday morning, I went to the market and there was Shari, painting this part of the market. I talk to here for a little while. It was very nice to meet her in person!

Clair Basler, more inspiration for drawing at the park. Go see her atelier/maison.

I love the first photo, beautiful rust. The sketchbook work sounds wonderful. I used to meet with a friend and we would draw the same thing, it was interesting to see how different our drawings were. Great link. Cheers.
