I kept on working on my artsy journal this summer. I really like the freedom this process allows. It makes me explore new colors, new forms, new techniques. It is very different than my painting style yet I find it as satisfying to work on.
I hope I'll be able to keep it up even if I started to work full time again. I must say that the fact that I finish working at 4:30 is very very nice. I get home early and it gives me time to do things before dinner time. I think I will be happy there. The work is the opposite of monotonous but most of all, the people are extremely nice and made me feel welcome from the get go.
I wish you a great weekend! Here the weather is cooling off quite rapidly. It feels nice though. Will try to go for a walk...

I love the strong colours employed and the sense of play is evident. Makes me want to get out the papers and inks and collections I hoard and set to work myself. I hope these are something you keep for a very long time. I try to keep all my things of similar nature. But my old life drawings, those I chucked. They were woeful! No need to keep those reminders of bad technique!
Glad all sounds a great fit with your new job. And 4.30 is a very nice time to finish. Still a little of the afternoon for your own work and things.

Your art journal pages are so inspiring! They make me want to get back to mine - I only have a few pages to fill & then I can start with a new one. But somehow I just don't get to it. Your new job sounds good - it is nice to be made to feel welcome and part of the team.
congratulations to your new job!
good people is maybe one of the most important factors...
very nice and playful collages here!
WOW, your journal is looking amazing, I love it!
