I finished it last week. My first wool blanket ever. It's not perfect but I like it. And it is really warm!

An old image again.

The wind was blowing all night, waking me up from time to time. So I was out of bed early this morning. It's still very windy. I should dress warm.

Great link from Robert.

And please feel free to answer my question here. Thank you to those who already have!

Wishing you a good week.

sunday...

fleurs roses

I haven't gone for my photo walk yet (thus this last summer image). I'm being very lazy this weekend and it feels great! I'm almost done with my blanket though. I'll show you soon. I'm pretty happy with the result.

This morning, I renewed some items in the our little shop. We are letting it live on its own, without paying much attention to it. So we were very pleased to see that someone bought this one the other day. T took it and it's one of my favorites in the shop.

I have a question for you guys. I'm a big fan of detective novels and I was wondering if you could recommend a good author or book. My favorite authors are Henning Mankell and Michael Connelly. I like some of Minette Walters's and some of Qiu Xiaolong's novels. I really liked the "Berlin Trilogy" from Philip Kerr and I always enjoy a good Herbert Lieberman. To me, the masterpiece of them all is "The Name of the Rose" from Umberto Eco. I hated the never ending "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" trilogy and I profoundly hated the two books I read from R.J. Ellory. So anyway, I'm swimming in this kind of murder literature so if you have any hints, I would appreciate very much. Thanks!

finally...

tulipes

Finally! It snowed... A lot! It is so beautiful outside, but really cold today. Will try to go out for a photowalk. But first, i need to go to the market and bring back stuff to make warming comfort food.

I should also finally finish a blanket I started last year. I'm pretty happy with the results. Plus it will be the perfect weekend to sunggle on the sofa!

What are your plans for the weekend?

I said that I didn't take photos on my trip to Virginia but it's not really true. We left during a snow storm with lots of wind and very poor visibility. Of course, I had to document it...

Another week starting. I wish you a very good one.

weekend...

ange

It's the weekend! Yay! I had a rather easy 3 days week but I'm happy to be off again. I don't have much scheduled, just relaxing and cooking. Reading hopefully too. I have such a great book right now. If you are curious, just see my sidebar. Every time I pick up a Findley's book, I am transported in a new captivating world. Love it!

The angel up here has nothing to do with anything. I just digged in my old photos and work on this one. I should post more old photos in the days to come. Winter is a very hard season for photo inspiration, especially if there is not too much snow. All is gray and harsh.

I hope to visit you all very soon. I find it so hard to be able to do everything I want to do with so little time. How time flies? I don't know. If you have a secret recipe to have more time on your hands that doesn't involve sleep deprivation, please let me know!

Meantime, I leave on this incredible wall paper.

back...

I'm back home! The trip was great. Very relaxing if that is possible on a family visiting trip. No photos though. Now back to real life. I have to fly and go to work. Have a good end of week!
