a foggy morning...
Morning is my favorite time of the day. I like to take my time, visit my favorite blogs while sipping my coffee. If I have no major plans for the day, I can stay in my pj's until noon! But the other day, I got up very early and there was a very thick fog outside so I decided to go for a walk. It was quite nice. Birds were very active, runners would appear and disappear in the fog. I was also hearing a bunch of people cheering somewhere in the park but I could not see them.
Today, I'm my old lazy self. Taking my time, not planning to go out for a while. Enjoying my coffee and the beginning of the weekend. I wish you have a very good one!
I have seen images form this blog in different tumblr pages. So beautiful.

blackbird...
You would think that not working would leave me more time for my blog. Well it doesn't seem like it. Besides working part time at my old job even if I'm unemployed, I've been busy doing all sorts of things I don't normally do. For example, yesterday I went to the thrift store and found nicknacks for the kitchen. I'm pretty happy with my finds. I have to go back for books. They have an interesting selection at very cheap prices. I also have been reading a lot.
I have some sewing projects too and I think I will go to the fabric stores today to see what I can find. Painting is still in the back of my mind, brewing, steeping, infusing. I should get to it very soon.
After our "summer before spring time" last week, we are back to winter now. It is lightly snowing as I write. I hope that all the tree and shrub buds that bloomed lately won't freeze with the cold weather...

new...
New in the shop! We are pretty happy with the postcards we have made. 20 different images picked from our most popular items. We have a set of four of our low key flowers series and another set of our new sculpture series. And it is also possible to mix and match any other postcards to make sets of three or five. Okay, end of self promotion now.So how is the weather where you live? Here it's summer before spring. It is so hot outside. Beautiful but so weirdly abnormal! I had my first beer outside last Sunday. I don't think I've done this so early in the season before. I broke a personal record!

street colors...
In the last Communication arts, there was an article on Zina Saunders. She has great editorial ideas. I especially love this one.

breathing...

After a week and a half of crazy work at my former job (I know, I don't understand either), I'm back home. Will try to take it easy for a few days. All we need now is some sun!
Will be visiting you guys pretty soon.

notebooks...
Anairam made these beautiful notebooks and it inspired me to do the same with old scrap paper I found last time I cleaned my desk drawers. Well not the same "same" but you know what I mean. The small one will be perfect to put in my purse.
We are expecting very mild weather tomorrow. It starts to smell like spring! Wishing you a very good weekend!

happy...

Yesterday I sold these two paintings to Natasha, who is herself a fantastic artist. She creates superb cabinets of curiosity (love them!) and gorgeous bold jewelry. I must say that it gives a big boost to create more!
Wishing you a beautiful day!

week...
A new week is starting and I will be working out of the house already. It feels strange to go back to a 9 to 5 routine so soon. I'm wishing you a great one!

notebook...
My notebook. Made of used envelopes and a red document folder. It's filling up very quickly with many projects, ideas and lists.
On another subject, have you noticed that when you google something, it tells you when someone you know posted a blog about that thing you googled? I don't like that. The amount of information I get from the web is getting overwhelming. And the amount of information I leave there is even more overwhelming. Everything is collected, analyzed, cross matched, used to sell us stuff... We know that. But now it is also given to the world to know. I think it's too much. What do you think?
