arghhhh...

I go away for a week and blogger, not to say bugger, changes all over. I hate it!!!!

Anyway, I was going to say that nothing much happened on my part this week. Not even photography. So I decided to post a few images from my Instragram account.

I must say, times goes by as fast as if I was still working full time. It seems that not matter what you do, it is impossible to make it go more slow. Crazy!

earth day...

It was cold, it was gray, it was windy, it was Earth Day. I went for a walk with my sister along with 300,000 other people and many dogs too. It was fantastic! Can you see me there?

I am whipped! The painting at my goddaughter's place is done, curtains are up, Ikea closet to (darn Ikea kits!). She's ready to move in! Now, the godmother needs a rest...

Funny because I am still painting in my goddaughter's new apartment. Not today though. Taking a needed break. We will be going at Ikea tonight to get all sorts of knickknacks and storage items. I must say, I'm happy I'm not the one moving!

Meet Blondie, a little fellow I see at the park. Actually, there might be a whole family of blondies there. Not sure.

So I painted all day yesterday and I am sore! In fact, I didn't do much painting. I spent most the day cleaning the small bathroom while the others were painting. It was sooooo dirty! We thought the tiles on the wall were yellow and those on the floor were orange, while in fact they were white and pink. Something like 20 years of cigaret smoke. Disgusting! But now everything in clean. It still needs more painting though but she will have a very cute apartment.

I fell in love with Emma Bennett's work.

What can I say, not working gives me time to do other things like adding images to our Castle Cat Studio shop. You can see listings for these three up here by clicking on them and there is also this one that I already posted here. I hope you don't mind all this self advertisement, but I like to put butter on my bread sometimes. :)

It also gives me time for painting. Wall painting that is. I will spend the weekend painting at my goddaughter's new apartment. It's her first apartment in Montreal. She lived in Peru, China and Korea and I think that she is now back home a little while. So happy that she will be staying not too far from me. Brunches anticipated!

dramatic sky...

From my place, it didn't look so dramatic. In fact, it was kind of sunny but with some clouds. Once at the park, I realized how crazy the sky looked. It was sunny on one side and very cloudy on the other. And then it started to rain and there was a rainbow. As you can see, spring is starting to show its nose, the yellow flowers of forsythia are blooming!

Still is a very pretty blog. FOund via Sofamentol (she has great links!).

bricolage...

T changed is guitar strings. When I saw the "eyelets" that hold the strings to the guitar, I thought necklace of course. So I went to the bead store and got what I needed to make the first necklace. Since I was there, I also got the bigger rings to make another necklace. All that for less than 10$!

On another note, my friend J has been watching this nest for almost two years now. Yesterday, she sent me an email urging me to go see. The mother was feeding her two tiny chicks. It was so cute! I am now hooked! Right now, she is sitting on them to keep them warm. It seems to be a bit windy in New York City today...

finally...

I finally got to it. I cleaned and prepared all my props and dived. I made the small one on top, finish the one the wood frame and found the other one amongst my other paintings. I wasn't sure about it at first but now, I kind on like it. The three of them are in my shop. Just click on the image and it will take you straight to the listing.

And last night I went old school and mounted two small canvas. All they need now is some gesso and paint of course.

And tonight I'm working on an award show. I've been working on this show for the last 6 years. I love it! We are treated with good food and wine and it always announces spring. It's a cool gig.
