flowers...

lavande coq leaves mauve hydrangea buds daisy

The flowers at the park were all in bloom the other day. Lots of bee activity over there!

I've been pretty busy this week working on the little gig mentioned here which is becoming bigger and bigger. They keep on asking for new bids for more work. I hope I get to do everything they are asking for. It would be very nice!

About the sun prints on my previous post, they consist of paper that has a kind of chemical that reveals itself after being exposed to the sun and then is fixed in water. You can read more here.

Wishing you a great weekend!

journal 2...

More from my art journal. The blue images are sun prints. On the last image is a note I found in one of the old nursing class books I got at the thrift store. The books were filled with flying notes taken in this beautiful hand write. I find this particular note to be very poignant. It seems that the nursing student's mother had a stroke on January 10, 1957.

Love this witty series from Nina Katchadourian.

an evening at the park...

moon sunset church moon moon

We had freaking hot days lately! So we often went to the park after dinner, when the temperature cooled down a little.

Speaking of the park, some of my photos were selected to be on the upcoming new website of Coalition des amis du Parc Jarry and also on their postcards. It makes me pretty happy that my photos have been recognized as a good representation of my neighborhood park.

On another note, our visit is now gone. Back to normal life. I have a small gig with a governmental office. It's quite nice but pretty challenging. During my breaks, I watch the Olympics. I must say, some events are pretty exciting!
